Javed Jaffrey is an Indian actor, dancer, comedian, impressionist, who is well known for his works in several Bollywood films and Indian television shows. Apart from this, he is much recognized for his performance in Maggi tomato ketchup advertisement aired in 1990s. He has been running and hosting a highly popular dance show called Boogie Woogie since 1995 on Sony Tv. He also did commentary to the famous Japanese television show Takeshi’s Castle on Pogo TV. He was first seen in the film “Meri Jung” in 1985, where his power of acting has been showcased. He is much known for his comic roles and has won his first IIFA award for best comic role in Salaam Namaste in 2006. One of the oldest dance reality shows “Boogie Woogie Kids Championship” has returned to the small screen with its latest season 7. The show has opened for children in the age group of six to 14 years and airing on Sony Entertainment Television. Earlier the show is hosted by indian film and television personalities Naved Jaffrey and Ravi Behl, who are also the producers and creators of the show are the hosts for this season too. Javed Jaffrey appears as the permanent celebrity judge.

Javed has been entered into politics in 2014 Lok Sabha Elections from Lucknow on the ticket of Aam Aadmi Party which he lost to BJP’s national president Rajnath Singh. He had finished 5th in the constituency securing only 41,429 votes.
